FR Review:
For those who consider themselves hurricane veterans, Brown has probably got you beat: the original founders of Brown Moving survived the hurricane of 1928. This company, in other words, has a history dealing with bad weather. To that effect, its climate-controlled warehouse, souped up with back-up generators and reinforced architecture, is considered one of the best in the state, and is part of why this mid-sized firm is counted on by top decorators to move and store their clients' valuables safely. A long history, stretching back three generations of Browns, and a reputation for "showing up at ten if they say they're going to show up at ten" are also key factors. In terms of services, Brown offers the full gamut, from small local moves to complicated interstate relocations. The staff includes several fine arts experts for packing and shipping painting and sculptures. Brown also has a special warehouse that caters mostly to the trade, offering receiving and holding services for decorators. Prices are on the higher end of the scale, but are considered competitive given Brown's level of expertise. Overall, the reliability of its employees (most of whom have been with the company for over five years) and an institutional memory that is hard to beat have kept Brown a Palm Beach fixture.
Representative Client Comments:
"Spotless warehouse, extremely secure." "Absolutely reliable - rare for a mover." "They care about their reputation, which means they'll come back and fix any mistakes they made." "Expensive, but I trust them, and that's the most important thing."
