FR Review:
True to its name, Intercoastal covers a lot of ground: "everything south of Orlando" is its territory, and sources say Intercoastal handles it well. Founded in 1978 by Jim Cardwell as a small delivery service, the firm is currently run by Cardwell's two sons, who oversee a forty-person team dedicated to delivery and installation of high-end furniture to the trade. Though Intercoastal does not do whole-house moves, sources stress that there is very little else the firm won't take on: it has delivered to yachts, through second story windows, and at any time of day or night. Indeed, with a small fleet of trucks, and two high-tech warehouses (one in Palm Beach County and one in Broward), Cardwell and Co. are well equipped to handle most contingencies, including last-minute, spur-of-the-moment projects. Intercoastal's long list of decorator references (the firm rarely works with individual homeowners) generally reaffirms its expertise as well as its commitment to a job done properly, saying that the firm never "drops and runs" on installations. Its prices are described as surprisingly affordable, given the high level of expertise.
Representative Client Comments:
"If they inspect something and deliver it, I know it'll be done right." "They're looking out for me all the time, not just doing a bare bones job and picking up their check." "Friendly people, good service."
