A Certified Master Cleaner & Restorer, Rick Perkins of Interior Technology Services is “great at performing miracles.” One high-end rug dealer claims Perkins has kept their highly traversed showroom rugs “looking like new” for over a decade. His years of experience as a yacht steward have prepared him to work with all types of spaces and conditions. Services include cleaning of carpet, upholstery, flooring, and wallpaper in high-end homes, yachts, and aircraft.
Using only hot water extraction methods, Perkins can eradicate almost any stain from any type of rug. He also excels at preventing shrinkage while cleaning wool and sisal rugs. The “always responsive” Perkins also handles emergency cleaning. Pricing is quoted before starting the project, and is said to be competitive. While pricing is based on square footage, more delicate rugs will generally be more per square foot. Despite his skill, clients say Perkins knows his limits, and will tell you ahead of time if he knows he cannot get a stain out. He also has admittedly refused to clean some “high risk” rugs that are too delicate to safely work with.
