Aptly named, Road Runner is commended by Miami references for speedy solutions to the wiliest of electrical problems. A mid-sized firm that will tackle both service and new construction work, the company is praised by local architects for its range of knowledge and for the considerable volume of parts it keeps on hand (nothing slows a job down more than having to order a particular brand of sparkplug from Romania). Though the firm tends to work primarily through the trade, it will tackle small jobs for homeowners here and there, covering a wide variety of services. This includes wiring for landscape lighting, theater lighting, and motorized shades; a whole division specializes in automated lighting systems. Some references do caution that Road Runner can be stretched thin during busy times, and that the office phone is not always manned, but overall they say that this firm takes good care of its customers, at a competitive fee.
