FR Review:
A self-taught man who was first recognized by Pierre Cardin, it comes as no surprise that florist Olivier Giugni draws much of his inspiration from the fashion and art worlds. French-born Olivier made New York City his adopted home in 1986 and is now one of its most prestigious florists. L'Olivier arrangements typically incorporate bursts of color and make clever use of leaves--in fact, he is credited with having pioneered the now somewhat ubiquitous leaf-wrapped vase phenomenon.
L'Olivier Atelier is becoming increasingly involved in florally outfitting special events, but the shop remains a good choice for small and big jobs alike, and the staff can create something "one-of-a-kind" for whatever the occasion. In spite of having a big name, prices are considered "fair for Manhattan." The minimum order of $85 can get you a small bedside arrangement, a typical "Thank You" arrangement starts at $125 and standard centerpieces costs between $125 and $150.
Representative Client Comments:
"Their arrangements can be very unique and quasi-architectural, and they seem to have access to great flower sources." "Their staff has always been very friendly and efficient." "If you're having an arrangement delivered as a gift, they will send you a photo if requested--an awfully nice touch."
