FR Review:
Perhaps the best compliment that can be given to Mark Turner is that the city’s top decorators refer to him as a collaborator, not a subcontractor. Turner, sources say, is a perfect mix of intellect (he has a fi ne arts degree from the Slade School in London), practical experience (more than twenty years in the field) and personality (calm, friendly, professional and charming). His services run the gamut, from straight painting to decorative finishes, even including murals, restoration work and gilding. On a day-to-day basis, the firm is mid-sized, but for larger projects Turner will call on a trusted pool of subcontractors for additional help.
Given his expertise and price tag, some designers think of Turner as primarily a decorative painter, and call on him for special occasions. However, just as many rely on him for straight painting as well, saying that Turner “does what he says he’s going to do, on time, on budget and beautiful” and that the resulting peace of mind is worth the expense, even for simpler work.
Representative Client Comments:
“Just a great person to work with.” “All of his subcontractors are great, I wouldn’t hesitate to introduce clients to Mark or anyone at his fi rm.” “Mark Turner brings talent and professionalism to every job. Not only is his work excellent, but he has been serving clients in the best buildings in NYC for years and knows most building rules and staff by name, making job coordination a breeze.” “He’s a one-stop shop for all things paint.” “He mixed a number of custom colors for me and they were all perfect.” “Prices are not bottom of the barrel, but completely worth it.” “He’s a veteran and an artist.”
