Highly regarded for her flair and almost-over-the-edge creativity, Milly de Cabrol is said to “transport” clients with her designs. Recently, de Cabrol has developed a Provence-meets-Tuscany genre which is like “taking a vacation and checking into a five-star hotel,” grateful clients report. While ably using a diverse palette of textiles, colors and strong pieces of character, the designer’s editing skills are said to be as remarkable as her versatility. Clients appreciate the fact that de Cabrol is the sole contact and inspiration for projects, and that she works highly collaboratively with each client.
Born into an aristocratic and artistic Italian family, de Cabrol lived in London for ten years and traveled extensively in the Far East. In 1984 the designer moved to the U.S. and started her career in interior design. We’re told she most enjoys unusual design projects, which she “pours her heart and soul into.” She is said to have a particularly good touch with collectors and their collections.
