The Press Room now has the latest press clips and testimonials from service providers and customers.

The Franklin Report, The Insider's Guide to Home Services, is an online and book survey of home service and lifestyle professionals, based on customer feedback and reviews. Our mission is to help our readers identify the highest quality and highest value vendors.

By leveraging the technology of the Internet and the power of customer opinion, the team at The Franklin Report is creating a comprehensive database of top service providers. We are covering over 100 categories, including architects, interior designers, contractors, academic tutors, florists, plumbers and movers. We have codified the classic "word-of-mouth" approach and are giving the community a chance to contribute to this ongoing dialogue via web submissions, emails, phone calls, faxes and personal interviews.

Nothing in home and lifestyle services has ever been quite like The Franklin Report. Interior Design magazine calls it "wildly successful...clever, valuable and influential." The Franklin Report has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Tribune, House Beautiful, House and Garden, Art and Auction, Interior Design, CNN, Fox News and CBS Radio.

We have unquestionably become the "Bible" of the industry with homeowners regularly monitoring our books and web site to find the best and avoid the worst  services in the business. We have sold over 35,000 books and receive an average of 150,000 internet hits a month from highly targeted and motivated buyers in the midst of making serious hiring choices.

The Franklin Report was founded by Elizabeth Franklin, CEO. While a partner in a Wall Street investment bank, she managed a significant renovation of her family's Manhattan residence. Along the way, she became an Allied Member of the ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) and learned some valuable lessons about the importance of choosing the right people to work in your home. The idea of creating this dynamic database was met with strong positive feedback from friends and colleagues, and work began in late 1999. The company now has a dedicated team of savvy category managers, is expanding the electronic database and Web site and is executing longer-term strategic plans for the growth of The Franklin Report.
